The 6th Annual Meeting of the International Society for Oral Care and the 23th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society for Oral Care will be held in Matsumoto City, Nagano.
Oral care has spread widely in society. Oral care is not only applied to dentistry, but is also widely practiced in many fields such as medicine, nursing, rehabilitation, nursing care, health and hygiene, nutrition, and childcare. Of course, oral care is related to all people and is the cornerstone of their health.
An academic society is an organization where people who are interested in a specific field or academic content gather, present research results, discuss and exchange information. The purpose of this society is to develop the entire academic field and disseminate new research results. Through research presentations, lectures, symposiums, and other events, the academic society holds an opportunity for participants to obtain the latest information, exchange opinions, and exchange information. Aren't citizens important participants in oral care? We wanted citizens to participate in the academic society to deepen their knowledge of oral care and practice it.

Therefore, the theme of this year's conference was "Oral Care for The People, by The People." If you say it's a rip-off, it's a quote from Abraham Lincoln. Oral care is already a part of people, beyond healthcare workers. We are preparing for this conference to be an academic conference that citizens can participate in.
The conference will be held at several venues in Matsumoto City. We aim to develop oral care by interacting with citizens and the city of Matsumoto. We hope that members of the society and medical professionals will enjoy the town of Matsumoto while visiting the venues, and that they will discuss oral care with citizens at the venues scattered throughout the city. Specifically, on the first day, we will organize an academic program on oral care at the main venue to promote academic exchange among specialists. On the second day, we will organize a program that citizens can listen to at the venues scattered throughout the city, and we will conduct academic activities and exchanges with citizens.

It may be a bit reckless or a bit out of the ordinary, but we hope to make this conference a place that will be remembered and remembered by all participants, as well as in the history of oral care. Matsumoto, Shinshu, is a very refreshing and good season in May. All the members of the preparation committee and the medical office will be prepared so that you can enjoy Matsumoto and exchanges related to oral care. We look forward to your participation.
