| I would like to invite you to attend the The 35 th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society of Toxicology at National Olympics Memorial Youth Center (Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, Japan) from June 26 (Thu) thru June 28 (Sat), 2008.
Priority themes of the meeting are Children's Toxicology and Nanomaterial Toxicology.
For the Children's Toxicology, five symposia are set to cover organ-oriented as well as basic to clinical sciences. It is hoped that this program would initial fundamental discussions on the reality of well-stated comment "children are not small adults". For the Nanomaterial Toxicology, two symposia are set to over basic sciences and regulatory aspects. The safety assessment for the new materials such as nanoparticles poses a new paradigm. The key to it is that the full-scale exposure to the public has not yet started. Therefore, there is a good chance that the information from hazard identification studies can directly be fed back to the product developers and manufacturers creating a win-win situation for producers and consumers in the long run.
We received friendly support from the National Olympics Memorial Youth Center , and would like to answer it by arranging children-related sessions as much as possible, along with the regular important themes.
We look forward to seeing you soon at the Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society of Toxicology for fruitful discussions.
Meeting President: Jun Kanno (Division of Cellular & Molecular Toxicology, BSRC, NIHS) |
